Admissions Information

Coastal Studies for Girls is a 16-week residential academic program for 10th grade girls who apply during their freshman year of high school. CSG accepts applications from girls in the U.S. and other nations, including those currently attending public, independent or home schools.

We are currently accepting applications on a rolling admissions basis

for the FALL 2010 and SPRING 2011 terms.

Non-Discrimination Policy

Coastal Studies for Girls, a single gender school, does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, creed, sexual orientation or national/ethnic origin in its admissions, hiring, educational and financial policies.

Rolling Admissions Policy

Students apply in the spring of their freshman year in order to attend CSG during the Fall or Spring Term of their sophomore year of high school. To ensure consideration for admission, all application materials must be received in our office by our priority application deadline, March 15. After this date, we will continue to accept applications and admit students on a rolling basis if space is available.

How to Apply

Download and print our Application for Admission and mail all materials to our CSG office, or fax them to us at (207)865-9535.

Admissions and Enrollment Process

PHASE ONE:  Acceptance based on merit

Applications are reviewed by our Admissions Committee and students are approved for admission based on MERIT. This means that we have evaluated the student's essay, references and academic record, and we feel confident that she will fit well and be successful within the Coastal Studies for Girls community. Students may also be invited to interview in person or through a Skype video-call. Once students are approved for admission, families will receive an acceptance letter congratulating them on passing Phase One.

PHASE TWO:  Scholarship Application

Families who are applying for a scholarship submit their financial aid forms online. Please see our Scholarships page for instructions. Families must complete the Scholarship Application before we can send you the Enrollment Agreement.

PHASE THREE: Enrollment Agreement

Families receive, sign and return our Enrollment Agreement containing the tuition amount, any Scholarship award received (if applicable), tuition payment options, deadlines, cancellation policies and community guidelines. Once the signed Enrollment Agreement is received in our office with a 10% tuition deposit check, you are then officially enrolled.
