Through our Woods and Waters program, 7th and 8th grade girls will have a chance to explore the ecologically diverse and naturally beautiful landscape of Maine while also diving into the bountiful adventures northern New England has to offer.

We will begin our time together by welcoming everyone to CSG’s coastal campus- an 1840’s era farmhouse nestled in the coastal town of Freeport, Maine. Here we will spend our first three days investigating the marine ecosystems in our backyard, building our community, and soaking in the beauty of the Maine coastline.

On our fourth day together, we will head into western Maine to embark on a 3-day water adventure. The girls will learn how to paddle a canoe, set up camp, cook over camp stoves and over a fire, and travel lightly through the wilderness. While on trip, we will have the opportunity to learn more about the landscape in which we are travelling, work together as a group, and explore the role adventure holds in our lives.

At the conclusion of our inland trip, we will return to the CSG farmhouse to unpack, clean up, and enjoy a warm dinner and celebration during our final evening together.

On Sunday morning, we will do a closing activity and welcome our parents and friends back to campus for the conclusion of our week-long adventure!
